Why are women saying "Hey I would rather be gay" than date guys who aren't in the top 20% of males?

There is an old convention in dating which states that 80% of women chase after the top 20% of men. These men usually are good looking, high social status and or rich (2 of 3 attributes land u in top 20%). Anyways many women chase after these small clique of guys and then get burnt by them. Rather than giving the guys in the 80% a chance they decide to go gay.

One real Life example of this is my female friend who got dumped a month ago. She hooks up with a dude little time later and had sex with him on that same night and got used for sex. She felt really bad about it and felt like shit. Rather than going for the nice guy who was helping her get over it, conforting her, going on dates with her for weeks and treating her right, she decided to state "all men are assholes". Later, went to a strip club and got eaten out by a stripper. Now you tell me. WTF?

Why is it girls like to either go these 2 dating choices:

1) Top 20% of males

or

2) I'm going gay.

Then we got all these pranks/social experiment on youtube of girls feeling very comfortable making out with random girls who just come up to them wanting to kiss or at least giving them their number after they come on to them for a kiss (brb they never would do that for a guy):

What? Hell no! My recent ex kept saying he wasn't in my league but I didn't agree and loved him despite him probably considered to be in the 80% based on him not looking like a model & living at home. That is just shallow on so many levels for either sex. Everyone is unique and blessed with their own talents and gifts to society and relationships. Get to know the person not the "ideal." He's my ex because he couldn't overcome his own insecurities :(

This is true. In past 80% of women reproduced. While 40% of men only did. Thanks to not enough alpha males gonig around for the women to wait on him to give her a chance to open her legs for.

I don't know how accurate the whole 20-80 idea is, but regardless, from a guy's standpoint, wouldn't it be more fruitful to just improve yourself and make it your business to be part of that top 20%. That'd be my gameplan, complaining about how women allegedly operate isn't going to change anything.

If they're fine with fucking men or women, then they're probably bi. And if I was bi and kept getting rejected by the people I like of one gender, sure I'd try for the people I like of the other before I jump to lowering my standards.

If some women would rather chase 100% of women than the lower 80% of men, that's their choice.

What lower X% of women are you not willing to chase as opposed to bitching about the top X% of women who keep rejecting you?

Also, no not all women are bi or lesbian. If men were as chill about men being gay or bi as they are about women being it, I'm sure more men would come out or experiment with the idea before setting on straight. But that doesn't mean straight men stop existing. Straight people always have and probably aways will exist, as they have the sexuality preferred by the species for reproduction.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the attractiveness level. If a girl gets burned every. Single. Time. she dates or has sex with a guy, then eventually she starts to lose interest in men and gets turned off by all men in general. The right way to deal with this would be to take a break from dating. But some women think switching to lesbian is the answer. I’m sure men would feel the same way if they kept getting burned, but they wouldn’t go so far as to become gay.
