My boyfriend doesn't use his Phone around me and for some reason has no social media?

I find it weird. He doesn't have Instagram, FB (he used to), Snapchat, twitter... None of that. Where both 19 and in uni. He also doesn't use his phone around me I can hear constant notifications going off or a message but he doesn't take it out of his pocket.

He has a nice One Plus2 phone so he can't be embarrassed about having a 'bad phone'. Something tells me he only does this around me because we do text eachother soo... I've never really met anyone especially a young man who didn't use his phone on the train... in restaurant. Where in a new relationship.
Why doesn't he use it? Why doesn't he have social media is that normal? he's kinda introverted but its hard to tell really you wouldn't know it.

When I'm with women in interested in my phone tends to stay out of sight. If it's important they'll call and I'll answer that otherwise I'm enjoying the time I have with her. I also have no social media I actively use. I've got a lot of accounts that are pretty much empty from years ago that I probably can't even remember the password for. Personally social media is a waste to me. I have nothing that I need the world to hear or see and I rarely see or hear anything I care to know about on social media. if someone's getting married I'll get an invitation. If someone's throwing a party I'll get a text. If someone's having a birthday party I'll get a text. All the important stuff always seems to get to me eventually so social media just seems like a huge wall if irrelevant news. He's probably like me and just doesn't care about it. It's actually pretty normal. It may not be common but it's normal.

are you really baffled that he isn't a zombie on his phone 24/7? why can't a person just be doing nothing, instead of pull their phone out immediately when they have nothing to do. i just fucking wait in line and stare at the wall instead of pulling out my phone just to check if i got any notifications since the last time i checked which was oh wait 27 seconds ago. all my friends pull out their phones at the table and eat in silence, its so fucking stupid. social media combined with smart phones is a plague.

No not normal, but there's nothing wrong with that. When he's with you he wants you to have his sole attention. Something i wish more guys would do. And the thing with the social media, I know a lot of people who got rid of theirs because company's will look at it for jobs. And even though he is 19, he is thinking ahead

Seems like he is being a gentleman about not using his phone around you and only texts you when you are apart. Why use a phone when you are with your significant other?

Wow, I figured you'd be happy to find out he isn't permanently attached to his phone. I don't think it's weird, I actually find it refreshing. I have no social media, I find it pointless to be honest. Other than texting my friends now and then and being on GaG I don't really have any social media. You should be happy he spends his time talking to you rather than focusing on everything else on his phone.

Perhaps he just wants his time with you, to be with you. He is trying to keep you as his priority, the rest can wait.
