Girls, should I wear a speedo at a public pool?

I'm writing this post because I noticed other guys on here were worried about the same thing. I didn't know where else to go to ask for opinions.

I recently moved to Europe and speedos are mandatory in swimming pools (although now short shorts are fine too). I prefer swimming in a speedo, but am afraid to look ridiculous in one.

I mainly worry that women would look at my bulge and judge what they see. Would they look? My body is not perfect, but if I wore shorts, it wouldn't make a difference... my body is my body. The question mainly is: what is the first thing you think when seeing me in a speedo? And... should I just stick with shorts no matter what (+ reason: dont have the legs/bulge/butt for a speedo, or whatever other reason)? Thanks for your honesty ;)

I wouldn't look at his bulge, or at least not consciously. Only if I were attracted to him would I look there. Because theyre there to swim they have a specific purpose which is not checking out men they won't make it a point to look, unless it's a pool party or beach
So only the women that find you attractive might look there, but who cares? They already find you attractive.
Honestly I don't think it's a bug deal, wear what you want

Thanks for the honesty, and many women go to pool to check out guys and some never even swim. This is what I noticed, they tend to be really young (early twenties) so i guess its kinda normal. I'm sure even more guys go to the pool to check out girls. As I was asking fauchelevent, is the bulge discreet? Some guys walk around with really tight speedos and I hear women complain that it's too revealing. I wouldn't want that to be my case. What u think? What answer did you chose in the poll btw?

No you look fine, I picked the first one. Umm yes it does look discreet.
I wouldn't care if he was doing his own thing, swimming, because you can wear what you want. but if he were to interact with me like have a conversation I'd probably feel uncomfortable, but I would never want someone to change what they feel comfortable wearing

Speedos are not mandatory in swimming pools here in England. If you wear speedos, people are probably going to think you're a little odd.

I totally agree that it looks old. I don't like the look, I wear them for the comfort. Besides looking old, I like having a discreet bulge, is it discreet enough u think? Or should I get something looser?

I live in France and it is mandatory (because longer shorts with pockets are apparently dirty). But again, you can wear very short shorts without pockets.

Honestly I looked at the pic and only imagined you were wearing one of those swimming headgear things and goggles like the dudes at the olympics used to wear.

My advice... give no fucks... it doesn't matter what anybody thinks. Do what you want. Personally I prefer board shorts because I don't like to cramp my junk's style.

dont worry about what people think. its the best type of swimwear for being in the water. I dont understand why people get worked up about showing some thigh. I dont understand why a brief isn't the standard male swimsuit.

You look good in a speedo, aside from the fact you should tuck to hide your junk. It is kinda like you expect use to wear a bra to hide our nipples. Just saying you don’t look real modest, but could look modest by concealing a bit more.
