I call this "social legalese." It's a polite way of saying that while what you're talking about doing sounds good in the abstract, just not with you. There's a small chance that she's actually interested and has a weird schedule but if that were the case she'd probably say something like "that day might not work but I want to do this. Is there another time that works?"
If she doesn't know what she's doing yet that means that she could do whatever this is if it were actually something she wanted to do.
The only way to know for sure in the moment is to say something like "alright, so should I ask you again closer to the day?" If her response is anything short of a clear yes then she's just politely turning you down.
Hahahha I did that once!! But I did Not realize it... and only noticed it when the oersin said "I just told you!! So you won't make any plans for that day!" Hahah I was like "oooohhh hahahhah"". 😂Oooops!!!
so perhaps.. she unconsciously doesn't really want to go. And said it without realizing what she just did.. 😲😃😁!!
Well for me it actually does mean I don't know, because sometimes things do randomly come up, and I cannot predict if something will or will not come up @ that time. So for just incase; we have to say that we don't know yet.

False. It means she doesn't know what she's doing that day and doesn't want to commit her entire day to you because something better might exist.
Yeah wait till it's close that date then ask but if she still says that then she is not interested
