Female friend acting pissy after I got a girlfriend, why?

Basically my friend knew I liked her, and recently she's been kissing me a lot, and saying "I love you." However she would giggle after saying it so I assumed she never meant it. Anyways I asked this girl out and my friend found out and she's all pissy now, she won't kiss me anymore and she hasn't said the "I love you" phrase anymore. And when she looks at me her eyes look watery. I tried talking to her and she was like "I guess since you have a girlfriend you won't need me anymore." Why?

Wow... young and dumb. She liked you and out basically broke her heart. You basically slapped her in the face. The smart thing to do would have been to ask her how she really felt. But don't worry now. I can tell you she's heartbroken and feels used. She's likely never going to kiss or tell you she loves you again. I have guy friends too but I never kissed any of them unless I wanted them as more than a friend. I think she genuinely liked you as a future boyfriend and so you dating someone else was like a slap to the face to your friend.
