Do most women "ride the carousel"?

A lot of guys say this. Especially on the internet.

If you don't know what "ride the carousel" is... It's saying that women who "ride the carousel" sleep around with lots of different guys when they're young, then settle for the "nice guy" when they are 'washed up'. Do a lot/ most women do this?

I am am kinda convinced because I saw a study done by the Center for Disease Control and it said by age 21 the average woman has slept with 9 different men. Where as men on average slept with 7. 9 by 21 is a lot in my opinion. At that rate, by age 30 or so they would have slept with 30 or so men. So this is why I kinda believe the whole "ride the carousel" thing. This is NOT some kinda troll. It's a serious question. So, you tell me if this is the case or not with most women these days.

It's a lie perpetuated by groups like MGTOW. The idea that women "ride the carousel" during their prime years and then settle for someone who's less once they're out of their prime is just preposterous. There's just no way to tell if a woman has or hasn't been with many men. If you've spent any amount of time on this site, you'll find that many women report being virgins in their mid to late 20s. One was even 45. A lot more women are virgins than what some social mediums will have you believe. As a whole, no, women aren't "riding the carousel" though most in my opinion, have sex with someone they ultimately would get into a relationship with. Not for the sake of riding the carousel.

Most of my female friends definitely don't "Ride The Carousel", but are either in or searching for committed relationships.

That number seems high. At age 21, most of my female friends (myself included) were virgins. The ones who weren't virgins had only been with one partner.

Anyway, at age 25, my number is currently 3. Most of my female friends have still only been with one partner (they married their first).

I can only think of one women, I know, who had body count over 3 by the age of 21; she is getting married next month and is only 25.

i think that some woman do, but this obviously isn't for all woman, nad there are many who have sleps with 20 guys, while some have slept with none, or only a couple, it just depends on the person, and this is the same for men

I guess many guys feel like that. But the thing is costumes are changing. Morals are changing. Society is changing. Everything changes, even nature. Nothing is the same under the sun. Old ways become dated by scientific and technical progress.

New concepts of love, relationship and sex emerge. It's inevitable.

But there are still girls that think the traditional way. So you can find one :)

I'll add that a woman being promiscuous doesn't necessarily mean that she's a bad person or will make a bad wife. My mom is the sweetest, most patient, funny, and selfless person I've ever met. And at age 55, she's damn attractive (looks young and is a distance runner, so very fit). And before she got engaged to my dad at age 21, she said she probably slept with a dozen men. But they've been happily married for 34 years now.
