Is it normal for preteen girls to like guys in their twenties?

So I have been working at an amusement park for 5 months now, and we obviously get mostly the younger crowd, but ever since I started working there I have noticed girls as young as 11 or 12 checking me out. I'm 22.

At first I thought it was my imagination, but as time went on, it was becoming blatantly clear they were checking me out. It isn't just like a handful of them either. It seems like 12 year olds checking me out are almost as common as girls my age checking me out.

Now I'm a pretty good looking guy, and I wasn't surprised to find girls my age and girls in their late teens checking me out, but it is kind of uncomfortable having 12 year old girls check me out. It makes me feel like a pedophile even though I'm not attracted to them.

My sister, who is 13, did the same thing to a handful of 20 year old guys who she thought was attractive. It freaked me out because of the age difference, and the worst part was that some of the guys entertained it. One in particular kept flirting with her and checking her out in front of my aunt and grandmother when they were playing mini-golf.

I would ignore it the best you can as to not encourage them. They're hormonal preteens who can't control themselves, much the same as you probably were at that age.

TBH, before I started working this job, I never really was around a large group of people much younger than me. I grew up in a pretty small neighborhood, and for the most part I only ever interacted with people I went to school with (same age as me) or worked with (same age or older). I was actually pretty surprised to see people interested in people outside of their age group.
Older women checking me out would make me uncomfortable too, but I've never caught any of them checking me out though. Yeah I do ignore it. I mean when they throw smiles my way, I smile back, but end the interaction there.

Regardless, it's too weird to be checked out by a preteen or to do that to one. Like you said too, the same applies to older women too. I would just discourage it the best you can.

Yeah I tried telling her that, but she loves it. She told me all about it when she got back. She was lucky I wasn't there with her. None of that would've been happening.

I did this a lot when I was a kid too, even much more young than that. But they're innocent. They just find you aesthetically pleasing. Don't put much thought on it...

I think I just feel awkward because I just recently realized they were checking me out. I mean I noticed them checking me out ever since I started working there, but I shrugged it off as my imagination but it was becoming more obvious and I noticed there was little difference between them checking me out (sometimes even flirting) and girls my age doing it.

man I don't blame you for your feelings, that seems very creepy. it is normal, girls at age 11 to 12 are starting puberty, so umm yeah, but at least your feelings about it are right, if I were in your shoes I'd feel just as creeped out as you.
