Why would a girl cover up her butt when walking in front of a certain guy?

That has happened from a couple different women, on different occasions. They would walk in front of me with they're hands over their butts, like they're were trying to shield their butts from my "pervert stare".

They seemed creepy, stuck up and rude, and I felt like they're were implying I was a pervert, so I stopped talking to them and instead, avoided them. But when I started ignoring them, they immediately started staring and talking to me.

instead of making me want to talk to them, it just made me confused and weirded out. Why would a girl do that: try to cover up her butt and shield it from a guy's view, then later start staring after he starts ignoring her?

for me i only do it when the wind is blowing and I'm wearing a dress or skirt i don't want people seeing the colour of my panties also maybe they are shy and don't want you to judge there butts my boyfriend slaps my butt in public i get shy and cover my butt so others don't see what he's hitting at so i don't get the judgy look I'm also self-conscious of my butt sometimes but my boyfriend seems to like it I'm slowly starting to feel my self and my butt looks good in jeans and skirts i like my butt :3

I don't care if a guy looks at my butt. I shield it if I feel like you can see the outline of my underwear or if I'm wearing leggings I worry something got stuck to them, sometimes I think "maybe I got my period and the whole world can see😰" sometimes people just don't like them staring at their butt

It just made me feel like they were defensive and uncomfortable around me. But since they started talking after I ignored them, I doubt that was what they were going for.

I've done it when I was scared but usually its just cause I can be an asshole to my friends and they try to get me back with a kick to the ass. XD.
