What does it mean if a girl kicks you under the table?

We were sitting at a restaurant, and she lightly kicked me several times...at least 3...

I didn't know what that means, so I just ignored it.

I was thinking that maybe she was just stretching her legs or something. But now that I think about it, if it was accidental, wouldn't she have just stopped after the first time? Because I know I would...I'd be pretty conscientious about that. Unless she didn't realize it? Or was it something else I didn't pick-up on, like she was trying to play footsie or send me some kind of signal?

i highly doubt that she was doing it by accident. I think she was trying to send you a signal...maybe she wanted to playfully flirt with you? or was hoping that you'd question her so you can strick up a conversation with her...i do that to playfully flirt with guys and it works haha

Ahh well...then I'm a complete dope. We were already conversing quite well, or at least I thought so. What else could it mean?
