Do girls notice expensive jewelry and designer clothing on guys?

I am a very shy and socially awkward loner although I possess a fair amount of expendable income due to the fact that I live with my parents while attending college and so have very few expenses. Apart from my monthly car payment, gas, and the gym - each of which is very cheap - I am able to keep the majority of my income for myself. That being said, I like to spend it on designer clothing and expensive jewelry like my prized watch, along with accessories like fancy sunglasses and backpacks.

I do this in the hopes that girls will notice me, and to boost my confidence. It is the only way I am able to sit next to a girl who is clearly out of my league while not feeling inferior. That being said, will this cause girls to notice me? I am hoping that it will help me to break out of my socially awkward bubble and become desirable to women instead of the guy who is always ignored.

Naw!! I like guys that are well dress, and look after themselves. Big expensive things own by a man, only tells me, hey I am wealthy, and I can have whatever I want and you can't have it and I will own you and you will have to love me now so I can give you items to get me to like you. Relationships don't work on things, it works only in your soul and your personality. Don't beat yourself up so much about it, the right person will come when you at least expected. For now concentrate on your studies, and do what makes you happy... ☺

that's not true. buying expensive things for self or owning expensive things does not mean that a guy is trying to get a woman to love him in exchange of items. may be he just like expensive stuff. and who doesn't? expensive things are not meant only for women

not many people will be able to tell apart legit, knockoffs, and cheap/unknown brands especially since the labels are usually on the inside of the shirts. we can only know if it's legit if say like levi's jeans will usually have a small red logo on the back right pocket or if it's sneakers, then a hardcore sneakerhead will be able to tell if it's a knock off or legit. other than those things that makes it obvious it's legit or a knock off, it's hard to tell what you're wearing

I notice when men dress up, but I'd never recognize a brand new, designer outfit. I think that you can look nice without having a lot of money- a dress shirt, dress trousers, and tie alone can attract women.

I don't think girls would notice expensive articles of clothing on a guy. I'll use myself as an example. I decent amount of my wardrobe is actually bought from a thrift store and whenever I tell people that they are pretty shocked. It doesn't matter the brand that you wear but HOW you wear it and style yourself. I know people who spend a bunch of money on clothes and in my opinion I believe that I dress much better than them even though I spend less on my clothes.

Don't buy that trash that lures you trash. With expendable income, you can do exotic things. Learn to fly a helicopter, sky dive, travel, learn useful skills that you think are fun. Everyone will notice you because you are different. You will gain confidence through learning useful skills, not by wearing useless bling.

I notice, but depending on his attitude and mannerisms will determine whether or not it’s a positive addition.
Like if he seems really chilled out and not at all pretentious I think it’s someone who takes good care of his belongings and can either save/afford nice things.
If he seems like a lad or overly arrogant then those kind of things make him seem even more douchey

Expensive stuff doesn't impress me more than a usual dude, but if it makes you feel better, then do you. There's plenty of women who are into that and will be attracted to you, but please be wary their intentions may not be the best or what you deserve.

i do notice these things, but i notice that about everyone. girls and guys both. i myself like to spend on such things. there's nothing wrong in buying expensive stuff if you can pay for it. if you're doing it only to get noticed then it's a red flag. when it comes to dating it really doesn't matter how expensive your watch is or what brand shirt you're wearing. because there is a high chance you'll attract lot of wrong women

This will only attract the wrong girls for you. If you want a girl who will notice you for the material shallow things you own, then expect that to reflect her personality. If it's your goal, then it's your choice.

Most Guys I see are in my school so Yes I notice the difference between the Guy who always wears his Jogging and someone who pays attention to how he dresses. Most Guys who were extremely expenisve clothes scare me off because I dont wear that type myself. I enjoy guys who have some shirts in their closet

When it comes to clothes, all I've ever looked for is clean somewhat stylish clothes that fit the guy properly. To be honest, I don't care if the guy bought them at Walmart !!!

in my opinion I think you should try using your money to make yourself more interesting. Like backpacking around the country, language lessons, etc.

I have $3,000 in the bank and bring in about $200-300 a week. I never spend more than I make in a given week and every bit of financial aid I receive for college goes toward that $3,000 once I subtract expenses like textbooks and stuff.
