How do you deal with a jealous girl in your group of friends?

Question

She pretends to be my friend but she sometimes gives backhanded compliments to me and tries to make me feel bad about myself whenever I get a lot of attention from everyone (which happens often).

I tried to stop talking to her but then she went all crazy and complained to our other friend in our group (who's closer to her) so I had to start talking to her again because this mutual friend of ours convinced me to do so.

She doesn't know about this whole jealously thing and I don't think she would believe me if I told her about this because she's very close to that girl (they've been friends for a longer time).

So what exactly should I do? I only have to attend classes with this girl for 2 more months.

Put her in her place. There will always be someone else she'll be a bitch to but if you tell her to stfu and stop being an ass hole she might learn her lesson. Plus she'll definitely leave you alone.

Or pull her to the side and ask her in a mature manner if she has anything against you and what is it. She'll definitely say, "Idk what you are talking about but, I definitely don't have anything against you." Then you tell her the way she acts or the way she says things to you bothers you and it hurts your feelings and ask her why she says those things, she won't have an answer she'll be speechless. She won't be used to people calling her on her shit. Then she'll probably say , "I didn't know, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." And you say, don't say those things or act that way again to me please because that's why you see me not wanting to talk to you. She'll apologize a lot and she'll stop. But she might talk shit about you behind your back after that which she probably already does anyway. But it will look bad on her part for always talking about you and having shit towards you when you don't do anything to her.

Either stop associating with her and ignore her, or start being insulting and sarcastic to her.

You talk to her, and if you don't get anywhere with talking about it you stop hanging out. Then you can take charge of your own damn life and not hang out with people you don't want to be around no matter what anyone else says.

She reminds me of a friend I knew in the past. She was very jealous of me and she never like to hear me say anything positive about myself. She would cut me down and make me look bad. She try to mess with me recently and I saw her huge paragraph and i said to her boyfriend this needs to stop. I don't even know her and i dont know you. They block me! Suck it up for another 2 months then peace out. And either ignore it or call her out. If she gives you backhanded "compliments", corner her and ask her what she means, why she would say that and point out that it makes you uncomfortable and that you'd like for her to stop. It's awkward as hell but usually is enough to make loudmouths like her stop, because they thrive on making others feel awkward and uncomfortable, so when the tables are turned, they usually shut up.

You can be friends with whomever you want just like the other girls in your group. Simply put, when she’s around you can continue to talk to everyone but her (don’t be rude to her just keep your distance). Whenever you have events and you’re inviting your friends do not invite her (due to the way she acts). You do not have to explain yourself and if the girl you do not like tells the other girls about your behavior you can tell them to her to address it with you. Sometimes you have to set people straight so they won’t mess with you.

I’ve dealt with that but eventually I distanced myself with no explanation. Where there are too much friends there is just too much drama so the best bet is to distance yourself. Don’t feel bad if you have to cut them off and let them know.

Be open and honest. Put her in her place. Tell her how you expect her to control her emotions.. but you need to know at the se time that she's never really going to. change either deal with her accordingly or cut her out..

I personally would keep her at arms length... don't let your other friend tell you what to do. You answer to nobody but yourself at the end of the day
