Are bras overrated?

Question

I have tiny boobs and the only reason I wear a bra is for push up. I really don’t at all need one, but still feel the need to have one on, like it’s expected.

When I was 11 I was a 30A, my mom comes to my room with a bra and she’s like here’s your bra, wear it everyday and don’t take it off until you get home. It’s like I was expected even when I had nothing.

Does anyone else feel this way?

I'm a tiny bit bigger than you were at 11 - I'm a 32a. I don't really need one for support, but as a teacher I really don't want the teenagers I teach looking at my breasts or my nipples. Once I'm at home with my boyfriend I'm not so worried about them being seen.
I totally get you about wearing one for push-up though! Not that I have a lot to push up.

i also have really small breasts💀. i don’t ever really wear a bra because i don’t have to but if i know it’s going to be cold where im at, then i wear one. or if i want to look like i have a little cleavage then i wear a push up. i don’t think it should be expected, it’s something you personally should decide on.

My mum did the same to me. Now I don't wear bras ever. I read a study done by a boob doctor from France who found that wearing bras causes laziness in the muscles that make them sag. And bras have been found to be the no1 cause of breast cancer. Knowing all of this, I now refuse to wear one, even if I'm working out. They only hurt when you are used to wearing a bra because your muscles had this crutch that stopped them from becoming strong enough to support themselves.

I understand where you’re coming from since you have small boobs but for girls with big boobs, going without a bra can be more uncomfortable than wearing one.

I wear one because I dont like the awkward nipple accidents... for size alone I wouldn't have to wear them either I guess. I skip wearing them if the situation allows it

Small boobs don't need the support but they do need the cover so the nips don't pop out

At 34DD they are a necessity most times although I sometimes go without.  I simply cannot go to work braless.

Kinda. That's why I switched to wearing bralettes and sports bras, they get the job done without being horribly uncomfortable.

When I'm outside I prefer wearing a bra than going braless, it makes my boobs look better. I guess I'm used to it and don't feel uncomfortable anymore.
