I have seen this in a sappy way on tv shows I am pretty sure this has happened on Disney channel shows more than once where a girlfriend really really wants to do something and begs and begs and towards the end puppy dog eyes... ok fine just stop doing that... and big smiles :)

Yes, it works on women aswell, at least if they are close friends. My bestfriend does it like all the time to me. Usually when she wants me to help her with something in the early morning on a weekend.
My boyfriend uses them aswell by the way. So thats not just a woman thing. Or maybe they just both know how easy to manipulate I am xD
