There is nothing wrong with an average guy I was in love with an average guy but he thought he was too good for me but that's a different story. Point is don't let one female make you feel bad and insecure of yourself.
Guys probably frown at girls who aren't good looking too. Though I doubt she was frowning because of how you looked, it probably had to do with something entirely different. I frown when I have a headache or I'm annoyed. I think you may want to look at a deeper issue if you're assuming that every time a girl frowns it's because of how you look.
Maybe she's frowning at you for another reason? She just might not like your personality. A lot of girls don't like their boyfriend's friends and only put up with them for their boyfriend's sake.
Or she could just be someone who's unhappy and frowns a lot in general.
I don't think that was necessarily you. She probably wants to do other things and was showing a look of impatience. Nevertheless, good looking people are kinder to the eyes. Anything that is pleasant to the eyes tend to make people smile. Things that are not make people squirm. For example, when people see a man getting tortured, they squirm or have a look of disgust.

Why do you assume she frowns because of your level of attractiveness? It seems like you have some self-esteem issues.
Maybe the girl frowned because she doesn't know you and you didn't introduce yourself and she was like who is this guy cutting in our conversation or who is this guy staring/listening to our conversation.
eop are just snobby, some men get this snobby face when they look at a woman is not attractive, I really makes that male look unattractive to me. It's like, you are not better than anyone else, get over yourself. If a woman does this to a guy, I would hope most guys would be turned off by it.
If you are hanging around people who take being good looking seriously, your chances of encountering girls who are shallow are higher. BUT how do you know that's why she was frowning at you? Did she or someone tell you it was because you werent good looking enough or are you just assuming?
Personally, I'd prefer an average looking guy over a guy that looks like a model. I'd feel more comfortable about myself and he'd be less likely to have a giant ego and girls all over him. Personality and similar interests is most important to me. Maybe you're just looking in the wrong places for girls and your friend has a stuck up girlfriend.
