I'm not ready for anything serious as I don't know how to trust women after a very bad break up but I really like a girl, she wants a relationship but I can't commit. She tells me she is into me and keeps asking me to be mean to her either saying something or doing small actions that would cause her emotional distress. I like her too much to hurt her.

I think you need to be the strong one and go away, look at what you need and want, if you want her then tell her that *you want her* but you need time. It sounds like she herself has trust or abandonment issues and if she isn't doing it constantly then you need to address what triggers it. If it is constant ask her. If it causes you too much stress then you need to distance yourself.

How much do you like her?
What's triggering the reaction?
What can you say so that she realises that she is wanted by you but you just need time?

This is certainly not going to help you get over your past break up and she is giving all the girls a bad reputation because a number of guys will think that this indeed how girls are in general.

She is mentally unstable and you are not doing yourself nor her a favor by agreeing to something that is not natural but only a trait of character of a mentally disturbed person.
