Is my friend jealous of my other friend because she’s prettier?

I am 19 and I started to hang out with two different girls at the same time, and when I introduced them to each other it turned out that they were in the same high school.
They were quite polite with each other, but only in front of me, cause I can see that they’re not truly well... friends.
One of them is a gorgeous blond who can be a model and the other is well.. below average looking.
My friend who’s below average would talk shit about my pretty friend behind her back and tell me how boring and dumb she is, and my pretty friend told me once that this girl used to bully her A LOT in high school, for nothing, and I can sense that my below average looking friend ressent her more while she’s actually very sweet and kind.
My mom told me once, that it can be because she’s jealous of my good looking friend and that’s why she hated her so much. I’m average looking so I never experienced jealousy nor did I got jealous of prettier girls, but can a girl truly resent another one just for being better looking?

She got serious issues and you need to get rid of this toxic friend. So-called attractiveness have nothing to do with her, or you, or your other friend. She is just TOXIC. So what if she's pretty, you all are pretty people and beautiful. Stop judging her, stop judging yourselves. STOP judging each OTHER! You ALL BEAUTIFUL! Your shallow ways of thinking corrupt your character! All of you. Each and every one of you has your own unique strengths and abilities. And instead of lifting each other up you tear each other down. You shame each other and judge based on the standards of a corrupt society and the world.

And yourselves this question. WHY did all of you become friends? What are your standards for friendship? WHAT kind of friends did you all want to have in your lives and do any of you meet those requirements? If not, WHY are you, friends? Friends love each other, cherish each other, care for each other, hold each other accountable for things like this. They don't hate each other, despise each other, envy each other, are jealous of one another, or try to hurt and kill each other.

So if this person is calling her dumb, and bully her get rid of the BULLY! Plain and simple. She has psychological issues and she needs to be reported to somebody and be seen by a counselor. ASAP. Because this BS needs to stop. You tell your friends that and I highly suggest you remove her from your group or just let her go. If your other friend doesn't remove her, remove them both. FOR YOUR SAKE.

There is no way to know. None. it’s I think it is demeaning of a grown woman to want to reduce everything to jealousy and irresponsible to pass that on to you.. She should have more Respect consideration and expansive thinking. Girls are not one dimensional. but that isn’t your question.

I honestly don’t think it matters why they are not getting a long. What matters is if you all treat each other with respect. If not it isn’t a y and there’s nothing to stress over.. you have to set boundaries for your Friendships. No d* ck heads allowed.

This is your chance to understand passive aggressive behaviour.

I raised my now 18 year old daughter on my own. My advice:. If you want both girls as friends, you have to set boundaries and it would be best to have separate playdates. There is a history here that you want nothing to do with because you will never fully understand it and you will never change it. So, change what you can. Individually tell them that you feel bad about the past, you don't want to be a part of that because you were out there and you are looking to start a new chapter of friendship. You want them each to know you love them both. They will skip when with you and say something to test your boundaries, call them on it and stay the course.

Frankly, I think this is a loose losses situation due to maturity. But I also believe you can do anything you set your mind too. Just don't be sad if it doesn't work out. Other people are out of our control.

Yeah she’s jealous but have compassion for your friend who isn’t that pretty she really suffers if it gets to the point where she’s a bully. I’ve been like that before except I never bullied anyone but I would shit talk or be rude to a girl who I felt was prettier just because prettier people always get treated better and it sucks. So I could understand. Just make sure you’re being her friend too

Bullying can happen for a lot of different reasons. Good looks might not necessarily be why that happened. Maybe since your attractive friend is sweet and kind, the other girl thought she was weak or an easy target.
