Girlfriend only likes to hear what she wants to hear. doesn't like to other anything else. My friend argued with her once she went off him saying he's doing this as a smear campaign to make the SU (shes part of the SU) look bad.

2. A lot of students complained against our friends for not taking students opinions into account (SU) on social media and she unfollowed the page which was posting the complains. She was also very angry about why the page was posting complaints about the SU and her friends and sent a few anonymous angry confessions which the admins didn't publish.

3. She says she's a firm feminist and believes nobody can tell her anything.

4. she's Spanish and pushes her culture on me but has absolutely no interest in mine. Instead she's politically hateful against my roots ( I'm half Israeli ( and actively campaigns for its destruction. She has never shown any interest in learning about it.

5. Is rarely supportive or my work or whatever I do. Supports everyone else.

6. When I question her, she gets defensive and shows me her iPhone wallpaper which has my face as her wallpaper, says that's true love right there.

7. Whenever someone accuses her of being hateful towards my people, she quickly brings me in the conversation and says "oh you know my boyfriend is one and he's unlike them".

8. All her hugs, the way she talks and our interactions together are ridiculed by our friends as superficial. A lot of them even said we dont look like a couple but look like siblings.

Is this even worth continuing or am I wasting my time? Or am I wrong and she's a great girlfriend?

Well, a lot of the times I just follow her around wherever she goes, if we go to university or an event. Its like she's walking like a boss and I'm always behind, following her.

To be honest I think the most serious point here is no. 5 - I don't think I could be with someone who devalued my work. But its also the most amenable to improvement. I would normally say something like: you should tell her that this hurts you & ask her why she's so dismissive about it... but if you resolve that, you still differ so much on things like colonialism, feminism... I feel like to resolve it one of you would need a substantial change in values, which I dont think is fair to ask of a partner.

w/r/t the students union - orgs like this can very quickly turn into vicious friend-group fiefdoms. If she was so unwilling to listen to criticism when she wasn't being criticized, its probably because her support network depends at least partially on those friendships. This is obviously an issue for a union where 'serving the people' ought to be the priority, and these formations are often commandeered by insular friend-groups. But, just based on my experience, its possible the criticism that angered her is coming from some rival friend-group who are initiating struggle over the management of the union. So often these things are just personal disputes translated into political language, and when this happens people double down on things they dont believe and make what might otherwise seem like 'irrational' political decisions if you dont know the stakes.
