Why do BBW waste their time trying to get fit athletic guys?

I know it’s a nasty thing to say. But I notice many big girls on dating apps try messaging or swiping me. I’m sure many of them are wonderful women but the vast majority of athletic men are not going to be interested in that.

I’m very cut and I have six pack abs. I don’t expect a super model girlfriend but she has to be at least somewhat into fitness or naturally thin.

I hear women complain all the time about certain types of guys hitting on them. I should at least be able to say my piece on the other end.

by the way - I’m never rude to these women (although I’ve had plenty of women be rude to me). But still some BBW women have quite inflated expectations all considering. I was roommates with a girl who was 30lbs overweight. I remember asking her if she was dating someone when I first moved in. She said “I’m really picky”. I was just thinking to myself “you got to be kidding”.

Besides, what about personality being a factor?
I hear all these people on here and other dating sites harping about how personality is so important, yet what's the first thing we're judged on? Looks.

You do realize overweight people are capable of losing weight if they're properly motivated right?
If they're around someone that's fit, eats healthy, and encourages her, she might do the same! Then you'd have a fit partner to exercise and motivate each other.

I get it, you want someone fit: same here. And I know most overweight people aren't going to be eager to hit the gym with you. I'm just saying, don't be quick to reject them without getting to know them first. Some of them might surprise you.

You are completely failing to see this from a male POV. I know women can fall in love with average looking guys with rockstar personalities but vice versa is far less common. This not a societal issue but a biological one. It’s not far but since women enjoy tons of other unfair double standards when it comes to dating guys should at least enjoy one.

I’ve tried dating people I’m not attracted to before to see if could fall in love over time. They weren’t fat women but they just didn’t get the butterflies in my stomach. But I loved them for other reasons (personality) but here is what happens:

1. I get less and less interested in sex. I have a harder time cumming during sex.

2. I have less patience about their problems. I’m less nice.

3. I get more tempted to cheat. I have never cheated in my life but the temptation is stronger when you are not that physically attracted to them.

4. I feel like shit because I know I could do better in the relationship. I also know she deserves better.

It’s not fair to her and it’s not fair to myself. It’s also not my job to “fix her”. She needs to want that independently.

First off, guys judge the beauty first and then see if the personality matches, we don't approach girls we don't find attractive.
Second, being fat is unhealthy, and fit people usually don't want an unhealthy partner. Also fatness is a representation of the personality, not taking the body seriously and laziness.

@more_than_a_guy I agree. Now I do know some people got dealt a bad hand genetically. But I’ve met thicker girls who exercise consistently. There is something about they carry themselves and even how the extra weight looks that shows they are trying to be healthy. They can be more attractive than “skinny fat” girls.

But being overweight is a reflection of mental laziness, mental depression and lack of self respect and pride.

@more_than_a_guy I got imagine that being a BBW is a hard life. They are the lowest of low in the dating pool. So I try to be nice to them.

But I’m fed up with this “fat acceptance” bullshit. I’m even more fed up with fat bullies.

I was a far kid in grade school. Then around 12 when I started noticing girl I decided I never wanted to be fat again. I took track, cross country and wrestling. Became athletic and never looked back.

Most of the obesity cases are from poor self care, which is their responsibility and action and they can't blame society for their action like the body positivity movement and fat acceptance movement do.

I don't feel any one should have expectations and shallow standards of any kind. A majority fit guys don't believe that. ones who are in it for long haul forever love. Of course being healthy is also important. But I've been on the bigger side my whole life and I attracted fit men. My daughters dad is a MMA fighter and my fiance now it a hard working farmer. abs and all. Its all just preference. And overall what the individuals really want in a person

If that’s fair then I could easily just swipe and message 18 & 19 yr olds all the time with no fear of shame. Just like fat girls have a right to feel entitled to a very athletic guy than I have a right to get an extremely beautiful and flawless looking 18 year old. After all it’s about “preference” and some girls that age wouldn’t mind dating a guy 20 years their senior.

But for the ones who don’t like that they just have to deal with it. Right?

Wrong. Although it’s legal for much older guys to pursue 18 year olds they can’t do it openly without severe backlash and judgement. Most of those girls aren’t attracted to them anyway so guys my age won’t even try UNLESS they make extremely obvious they like the older guy.

BBW women shouldn’t pursue athletic guys unless the guy is obviously a chubby chaser.

That's just your opinion then. You can easily message 18 year olds. Hugh Hefner made it an entire empire. Who cares of the backlash because no matter what anyone wants or does. someone will always judge it. for lifelong partnership, only thing that should be chased is someone with your similar goals and life principles and such. Yes looks will fade. But something’s about looks are hard set (facial structure, hair, height, eye color) others things such as body weight CAN be controlled. And it’s not just about looks. It’s about general health. Obese women are more likely to have shorter lives and also have fertility complications. You can’t blame a fit guy for not being interested in that.

Now again I’m talking about BBW/obese women. I have met thicker curvy girls who are very healthy and just got dealt a bad genetic hand. That’s a completely different story. Those women can look more attractive than unhealthy “skinny fat” girls. But there is a difference.
