Girls, Was I wrong to throw my drink in his face?

I was at a bar with a girlfriend and a guy walked by and smacked me rather hard on my butt and kept talking.

he came by again 5min later and did it again but this time tried to hit on me.. I immediately tossed my drink in his face, walked away, and told the bartender who kicked him out.

would you have handled it differently? I wish I had smacked him right in the face..

Throwing drinks on people to me is childish. Also it could have gotten ugly if he retaliated. If I was in thats situation I would have told him that I don't appreciate you touching me like that. If he still insist on trying you then you tell him you going to call the police or tell the bartender or their security if any that this man is bothering me. Usually when you say police or some type of authority figure they back off. But I don't know if he was drunk or anything like that. But yea I wouldn't have threw my drink on him. Plus drinks are expensive in the bars now a days. I want my drink 🤣
