I don't know if this girls giving me signs for something or wether I should stay away from her, could anyone help?

So I'm a 19 yo dude, I am in my final year at college ( UK), Im really inexperienced with girls so I'm fairly oblivious to more or less everything.

Context:
Me and this one girl who gets on my bus to college, we've had a previous altercation about a year ago and since coming back to college in September her and her friend have been messing with my head however it's more her friend doing this than the girl. This girls will join in but won't do too much beyond watching me.
This girls friend is a MASSIVE bitch, though.

I did confront the girl when she least expected it, about them watching me. she looked like she had shit herself and she denied everything.

On a certain day, this girl gets on the bus on her own and at the start of term she begun sitting far away and now likes to sit directly opposite me ( where I usually sit, in front of my mate. Quite odd for someone who I have been told is apparently uncomfortable with me...) And she will go sit there with no hesitation even when I'm already on the bus.
Most notably, I also have turned round to speak to my mate a few times and caught her eye but I know it wasn't me that initiated the eye contact, I've seen her eyeing me out by peripheral vision quite a few times, caught her looking at me through gaps in the bus seats occasionally and even one time where my mate could see her eyeing me before I even turned round.

She's been looking at me a lot when there really is no need to. I don't attract much attention from, well, anyone... So I really don't know why she would be eyeing me so much.

I spoke to my mate a few days ago about this, she thinks the girl likes me. She didn't explain how, said it's a "female thing" but I would assume its some type of intuition or inside knowledge of what females do when they like someone ( my mates a female and she's a lot older than me, got that life experience)

What the fuck is she playing at?

I think she does like you, but considering the way her friend acts she kinda felt like she couldn’t say anything and maybe that’s why she’s acting the way she is on the bus when her friend isn’t with her.

"Perhaps constrained by her friends influence" is I think what my mate said a few weeks ago...
When she's with her friend, she will sometimes play along with any games her friends playing, but she's doing it so much less now than at the start of term, while her friend has continued. And when she's on her own she's like a fucking shadow. Like I said, there is no real reason for her to continue watching me or get closer to me, even when she's on her own, so I'm inclined to agree. But, if she really didn't like me, she would just ignore me or stay away perhaps? I know that's what id do.

Yeah, if I didn’t like a guy I wouldn’t be getting closer to him the way she is. I definitely think she’s more comfortable at least trying to get closer to you when her friend isn’t there to be annoying.

To be fair, that sounds about right. When. I spoke to her, I called her and her mate out, and she denied everything but her face went red and she looked like a deer in headlights... I reckon I did catch her out but now I'm not too keen on going up to her yet, in case i get it wrong... Even so, she has gotten so close to me now that I think it's practically impossible for her to be uncomfortable with me...

I was wondering whether youve ever had an experience like I said my mate has, where you sort of know a girl likes a guy? My mate hasn't said why she thinks the girl likes me, but says " it's a female thing" and she "just knows"... I trust my mate with my life, so I'm inclined to trust her with this
( she's even started to make jokes about me getting with this girl, grooming my pubes for her, shit like that. I have made eye contact with this girl a few times when she's on her own but she never looks away, I'm always the first to look away because Im paranoid that it's a trap but she doesn't look away when we've made eye contact and because of that, I've always thought that it was pretty awkward to hold eye contact... Any opinions on why she would do that?

You say you get on the bus with your mates - are any of them a bit more chatty and they could maybe initiate a conversation with her and then you can chime in?

Catching eyes with someone is pretty normal but I agree it’s quite weird for her to just stare at you for that long. Maybe she’s just as shy as you.

I get on the bus with one mate, she gets on 1 stop before me so I will always go sit in the same spot... Hence why if this girl didn't like me there's plenty of opportunity to go somewhere else but she doesn't, and it's only recently she's changed where she sits and always goes directly opposite me.

My mate isn't very chatty with random people and we generally talk amongst ourselves. Even so, this girl puts earphones in and doesn't do anything until we arrive at college and i wouldn't want to disturb her.

I've only caught her eyes a few times ( but this has gone on for a number of weeks maybe a month or so so far) but it is always when I've turned round or somethings caught my eye and I see her eyeing me. Or when I'm just on the bus and see her out my peripheral. I don't want to make it awkward so I spend less than a second with eye contact... ( funny thing is, even when I'm turned round to my mate to talk about stuff, both girls will go sit in my direct line of sight and then this girls friend will complain that I keep staring at her, so evidently they haven't heard of "Gaze Perception" which is why I know it's not me kicking things off)

I'm incredibly suspicious and don't trust her however its easier to trust her than her mate. I don't fully believe it's bad however there's still that cautious feeling I won't ignore because her friend is such a bitch. I have had previous with this girl, i attempted to ask her out about a year ago but I failed because of personal and family issues and never asked her, responsibility to myself being priority. She blocked me on snapchat however a few weeks ago I noticed she unblocked me... So I'm just generally suspicious of most things these girls do however, as my mate said, this girl wouldn't eye me when im not looking or get closer to me if there wasn't some sort of interest there.. otherwise what's the point?
