It's often a test to see how you will react and hoe you will handle things from there. Thinngs slow is a tricky one.

My wife said that to me on our first date. I was like seriously this lmao.

So i was like well might as well go with the act.

And on the third date I did invite her to seriously watch a movie we both liked. Long story short we didn't watch the movie. And from there was like a speedrun on crash bandicoot for serious.

Now we are married have a kid and we still haven't watched that damn movie. I don't think we are going to watch it. Because it's a special moment and memory.

So slow is sometimes fast.

I hate that and it's not because I disagree with taking it slow. It should be more about what is comfortable for everyone. Some people move fast and some move slow. Sometimes it depends on the person. You need to go what you and your significant other feels comfortable with. Real example me and my first girlfriend took 2 months for us to make it to the bedroom. The second girlfriend took the second date. It is all based on what makes everyone comfortable. Sorry for the rant but the take it slow just doesn't make logical sense.

I know when I said that I meant it. I always wanted to wait til marriage and I did. My husband was my first. When I was dating a couple guys didn't take me seriously with that one. Luckily my mom made me take fighting classes when I was little to help protect myself. A couple of them attempted to force me into sex but ii was strong enough to fight back.

I feel like it happened to me once. But I think just once. She agreed to take things slow at that time, and the two months later she started telling me that the fact that I didn't ask her to be my girlfriend meant that I don't cherish her. And we barely knew each other honestly

It may or may not be. Usually slow means they've been hurt and don't want to rush. With the right go through, she probably wouldn't have an issue rushing.
