It greatly depends on where you work, position in company etc.
we go through this every summer when working from the office,
everyone wants to wear shorts or for girls summer dresses.
there is a level of office decorum on what standards are allowed, I let the two female managers regulate the female employees and 2 guys regulate the guys.
at the start of lockdown I had to put in some standards for what people could wear on a Teams, Zoom, Skype call.
this was because one of my young female software devs, was wearing a very flimsy top and no bra. When she lent forward on her desk, everyone got a really good long look at her boobs. No one was really used to working from home and leaning across their own desk during an online meeting with cam on.
also some of the guys thought they could wear soiled t shirts, trust me I don’t want to see someone’s lunch during a meeting 3 hours after lunch.
there does need to be a level of standards, for a number of reasons, for example I have a large number of girls under 25 and female managers in their 30’s, all different body shapes etc, if I allowed everyone to wear a mini dress etc, then it would be almost body shaming the large girls on the teams, as they could not dress the same. This would mess up team values and dynamics.
so we have standards, sensible where possible but if needed I will put in firmer ones, I do get crap from higher up as we have some religious types on the board, which means even above the knee would get banned if I did not argue the toss lol.

To be honest, this type of clothing should be prohibited. I am not saying this because its a sexist opinion or something like that. If women are comfortable wearing clothes like these then its good for them, but the people who work with her will then objectify and sexualise her and some might even try to hit on her thinking that she is available because she is wearing clothes like these. Maybe some woman want to send that message, but majority of women just want to wear something comfortable. Even if no one tries to hit on her or harass her, people will still be distracted. They will try to get a glance or end up staring at her, this would lead to and HR issues if one of the woman complains. So that's why, it should be prohibited, even if its not prohibited at least their should some kind of suggestion.
Depends what your work is. If you're in customer service, you get more tips looking like this. If you work in a cubicle call center, your life is already fucking he'll without your boss getting on your ass for what your body looks like.
I think it should be up to individual businesses. We really shouldn't hide behind 'professional' as a means to view some women as more or less competent at their jobs than others.
You can be hot AND highly intelligent at your job. The difference between classy and trashy is attainability. If she's in a professional role, she's not automatically offering sexual services just because you're thinking about it in your brain.
Women used to be shamed for wearing things above the ankle, and then the knee, and then above the knee etc. I'm not saying we should go around letting people be naked, I'm just saying that the term professional is 100% subjective. Looking professional and being good at your job and mutually exclusive.
Take real estate for example. If she's hot, got small boobs, no one will think twice about a shirt this low, and expected that she loom put together.
They actually are in most places

Those kind of clothes ARE prohibited at my job!
Absolutely, and before anyone downvotes me, keep in mind: that kind of attire is NOT professional. Showing off your assets does nothing, nor is it practical in the workplace. Those same women are usually the first to complain when men oogle at them too much!
If you want to dress like that, do it outside of work!I’ve always found this topic fascinating because on one hand it’s unfair but on the other hand men and women can’t be treated identically, primarily because of the roles we’ve served for centuries.
Yes, breasts are super important, and aren’t sexual organs, however, they are indicators of sexual maturity. One theory is that women developed larger breasts to more easily attract male suitors while walking upright. Because of that, I don’t think this is as simple as a lot of people make it out to be.Depending where you work. Maybe in clothing retail or hairdressing but perhaps not somewhere 'men' may be distracted or act inappropriate if they saw those big, smooth boobs on display. No, it shouldn't matter what a woman wears, but the world has changed. Yoga pants and crop tops leave NOTHING to the imagination. Nipples, crease between labia, clitoris, bum cheeks a cracks. The female body is a beautiful thing, but boobs aren't just for feeding babies, they attract men too. Within reason, probably not to church etc
There are three levels of business attire: boardroom (strictest), professional (this was my daily office attire for nearly 30 years), and business casual, which eventually became our Friday alternate attire. Even business casual required men to have their shirt buttoned, and women to keep their decolletage relatively modest.
The neckline pictured is not modest and would not acceptable office attire.Depends on the overall seriousness of the company atmosphere. Do men come to that company in shorts or tank tops? If so then this should be allowed but if the dress code is smart to formal then it shouldn't be allowed.
This isn't about discrimination or restriction of freedom but there's a time and a place for everything and to succeed in a professional time and place you need to look professional as wellHonestly, I think girls should be able to wear pretty much whatever they want. Only lower IQ will not be able to focus on the task. There's hot girls all over the world. You're gonna tell me if you see a hot girl, your focus is lost? Pretty sad in my opinion. It should be... if you can't stay focused at work just because of some cleavage you see, it's your problem... not hers. Don't be like a 16 year old that's seeing tits for his first time.
It depends on the business you are in. If you are dealing with the public or other companies can effect the answer. I have no problem with it and I will gladly enjoy the show, plus if she feels comfortable and like to wear her clothes that way go for it
first question
where do you work, one dresses to how and where they work, if the pic is a bar girl, then if it draws in the men I say yes, but if in a Kindergarten then a big NOSee. That kind of attire is not if any way, professional whether you like it or not. Most offices have dressing rule.
So if someone want to wear "whatever they want", the firm will decide "who will the keep at work". The notion should be clear.A lot of woman wear revealing clothes to work because some associate sex appeal with social fitness but too revealing clothes might be banned in more child friendly environments such as grocery stores or school jobs etc...
Any woman who is trashy enough to actually want to wear that to work is practically screaming "I desperately need sexual attention". It's like she is wearing a giant sign over her head letting everyone know she is very insecure and has low self esteem.
there's no need to wear that work place or not.. unless your trying to turn your man on to take him to bed!
There's a dress code for a reason. Change jobs if you want to wear revealing clothing, but keep in mind, you know it's gonna be a distraction for people. Dress appropriately for your job.
Obviously. What's the need to show all of your boobs but just hiding the nipples?
It's a workplace not a sex market.
A day will come when some sluts are displaying their p***y also.
It's a workplace not a strip club.Men and their rules 🙄. Literally like our necks is an erogenous zone but it’s not censored. Our boobs are like necks but they feed the next generation they should be put on pedestals not wrapped up
I can see no good reason why you'd wear that to work unless you work at Hooters or in a strip club. Showing that much cleavage would not be professional.
Not a girl here, but fully agreed. There are better places than the workplace to gather attention of that type.
Same goes for schools really. I'd gladly reinstate the uniforms.Depends on the employer. If they think it has negative impact on their employees work and/or is bad for their business image, they shouuld be allowed to prohibit it.
I think it's fine if they don't allow it. But they could always say that you need to be covered up if you're wearing a low shirt.
Depends on where you work. Of course for men most would say no. As for me if its like federal or something to do with high class tech or something like it I feel like it wouldn't be needed in the work place. But for hooters that would be needed
