Girls, do good lookin hot guys have an advantage over average lookin man?

I know that personality
is the most important at the end of the day, but because of this is it even worth it for a guy to work on his looks, and try to become visually appealing for girls? (Having a nice body, being fit and in shape, having a cool haircut etc)
Of course I do these things mainly for myself but will it be a turn on for girls too, or it's all about the personality and looks doesn't matter much?

To me looks and personality are 50-50% important in a girl. I just can't imagine myself putting one ahead of the other. Not sure how this works with you. Looks are very important to me when it comes to sexuality. Personality alone just does't do it with me when it comes to attraction.
