Why do girls block guys on Facebook?

I made a post on Facebook where this girls friend complimented her picture saying "beautiful inside and out". So maybe it's because I didn't know the girl that this happened I don't know. She added me as a friend, but I said "she looks like she's a good girl😊" Anyways, I login later and find both the post and her entire profile is gone. She blocked me for complimenting her. Lol wtf? Maybe it was odd because we didn't know each other but really?

Dude. I can tell you exactly why she blocked you. Your comment was weird.

"She looks like she's a good girl" would be taken either as a slur - with "good girl" meaning prude, or non-adventurous etc.

OR (even worse) what you said would be taken as a creepy sexual comment. There is this trend of guys using the term "good girl" in sex/ sexual situations to show supposed "dominance".

So, either way, your comment would have come across as weird. She didn't block you from complimenting her. You just need to learn how to give a compliment!

It's not that hard - you could have just said "Gorgeous pic" or "Love your style". Definitely "good girl" was an odd choice.

Why would she clarify? If you say something of that sorts to someone they will straight away block you. I had a fitness class. And apparently were part of the finess group on whatsapp. And this guy in my class msgs me on my phone asking me "so when are you gonna develop your pecs"?(pectoral muscles). I straight away blocked him. That was so perverted. Like literally asking a girl to develop her pecs? As though I can't see what's going on in his mind. Asshole

Then you might like apologise and say something like "hey I just need to tell you that I just realised that the compliment I gave you the other day sounded a bit weird when I tried to see it from a third person's perspective, if that is what has put you off, I sincerely apologise, kindly accept my apology". Say it in a more formal way. Cause if you say it in a formal she is more likely to take it seriously. Also after the apology, leave it at that and don't try to initiate a conversation. Hopefully she will reply you. If not, leave it.
