As a man, I wouldn't like to look feminine, with smooth skin and curves, let alone breasts. I love seeing that on a woman, because it's the sex I'm attracted to, but I just don't expect the exact same physical attraction from her.

I'm fine with my body because it's functional and practical. I don't think attractiveness in men rely on their looks, but more on their strenght and confidence.

Male bodies aren't meant to look good in my opinion, but strong and useful. The only thing that stands out on a male body is the genitals which aren't appealling at all, for the rest our bodies look quite simple with lack of physical ornaments, small flat buttocks, straight lines, hairiness...
A woman's is beautiful itself, much more detailed and shapely.

Arguably, men that regularly hit the gym can look hot to women, but they are not frequent and it's more of a social construct... Men don't need to hit the gym to look and be strong, we don't really need big muscles either... An average man who does physical work or a sport regularly is just fine and strong enough. I don't know about the US, but here the average man is not overweight and most are physically active (sports, labor...)

On the other hand, I don't feel disgusted at all by a naked man. The human body in all its shapes can't be disgusting. I just don't find it good-looking (nor ugly either) and interesting to look at, just like my own.

I don't know how other men feel about their bodies, but I like my body because it's functional and physically capable. I can use it to protect my girlfriend physically, carry heavy things she can't pick up and such things, and that makes her feel good and can turn her on, not the body in itself.

Just look at men 40 years ago and before, back then there wasn't an obsession for men having unnatural perfect chiseled bodies with a six pack and no hair. Moreover, a very muscular male body isn't the ideal whatsoever in terms of fitness. It costs a lot of work and it's unnecessary.

To sum up, I can value a man's body for looking masculine and strong (without need of big muscles),
While I value a woman's body for its beauty and sensuality.

Finding the female body much more beautiful than the male doesn't make me want to look like a woman at all. I am a man and I do not expect nor desire to be aesthetically admired.

@quietcuite Yes, I like it, but I don't compare my body with that of a woman. Not all women are the same in physical attraction matters... There're women who prefer shaved men and others who prefer hairy men. Personally, most women I know don't like smooth totally hairless men. Hair on the chest, legs, arms, face and genitals is just fine. The male body is designed like that, accept it and embrace it.

As I said above, the female body is aesthetically far more beautiful than the male, but that doesn't mean we should be ashamed of the male form.

If you watch nature, you'll realize that not everything looks beautiful. Are vultures pleasing to look at? If you dissect a corpse during an autopsy would you say that it looks good?

I'm giving extreme examples, but my point is that something doesn't need to look appealing to be valuable and useful.

Men have body hair, penis and testicles, flat chest and more musculature, and it's fine. Nature designed us like that and women appreciate physical strength and masculinity.

Women otherwise have the sexual ornaments, smooth skin, curves and a shapely figure. Nature designed them like that and men appreciate their physical beauty, fertility and feminity.

It's the way things work. Men and women complement each other physically, and also emotionally. Roughness and softness. Strenght and beauty. Physical beauty isn't everything. I don't want my body to look appealing like a woman's

What about guys that won't be aesthetically pleasing? What will you do with them? Unfortunately there are jobs that require muscle or endurance or both. I'm thinking athletes, fireman, construction workers, fighter pilots, wearhouse workers, generally men that don't sit all day at work.

I don’t mind no body hair, smaller stature and androgynous features, I’m face I have a tendency to prefer jt, but I am probably going to be a bit confused if I meet a man shaped like an hourglass, with curves more pronounced than my own. Yes. Theoretically I am not completely opposed to a female partner, if I met a woman with an amazing personality, I might wonder what it’s like to date her, even though I’ve never acted on it. If a man comes along who is so amazing that I fall in love with his personality, I can see myself being less critical about his boobs and hips. It’s never happened before though. I do not lust after curves, sexually they don’t really do it for me, in the same way some people don’t like certain hair colors or weights.
By smaller stature I mean under 5’9”, with a more delicate frame. Androgynous features are those which have traits from both genders. I am, for example, very attracted to the Asian men I see in Korean, Japanese and Chinese movies, as they often have faces and bodies like this.

No, I am of medium height for a female (in the country I live), on the taller end of the average spectrum. Girls who are 5’9” or 5’10” are tall. I even feel short when I am in some European regions like the Netherlands. Lol.

I am American originally, but I travel for work. I guess I should say I am average for a white girl, not for girls in general.
The guy was not embarrassed about his body hair and I was very comfortable hugging and cuddling him, regardless of body hair. He sometimes shaved everything if he was in the mood and I was okay with that too. Until it grew back and prickled!
