Why are older women less likely to be jealous?

I find that young women like me in their 20s are much more likely to get jealous over other girls who are prettier or more successful. Older women in their 40-50s seem less likely to be jealous of those that are prettier than them. Why is this the case?

Well it could be they realize they are no longer in the same “league” as younger women and choose to “compete” with women in their own age range. It could be they have outgrown that type of behavior and have matured enough to see the folly in it. Could be any number of reasons.

well from my experience, this is the case. its been for many years.
