I used to feel that too during my younger school days. I always kept to myself and was very scared to start any conversation. In fact I had just one or two friends in my entire school life. And when I became an adult I just did not know how to interact or work effectively with people.
i put myself through Dale Carnegie courses to learn to interact with people (yeah that’s sad) and every interaction was a chore for me - it still is sometimes.
When I now talk to folks that went to school with me, they all felt I was uppity and unapproachable. It was as if I had a wall they could not break through. So all they would do is gossip about me which alienated me further. the reality was I was just a very scared and insecure kid wanting affection and validation.
So it might help to start slow, reach out to other girls and start having “safe” conversations and see if that helps your situation..
I know how it feels to be in your situation and I hope things get better soon for you. ❤️

If you're the type to keep to yourself very quietly, you can end up finding yourself in that situation. The solution if that's your case that I've found is to interact more. Actively engage with the people who want to talk behind your back. Then you find reciprocation. People talk more with you than behind you.

Maybe they see you staring at them. Just play it cool and try to tune it out. Who cares if they stare.
