We usually hear about height being an issue for guys and how shorter guys are usually shamed by girls. I don't know how common this is, but I saw this article about screen shots of dating app exchanges. Here's the 1st one. I think this girl was being a b**ch and I hope it's rare. Maybe she's hurt with past experiences?
I don't know what her problem is, but I'm not sure what she meant my "projection" or "insecurity being unattractive". She lacks empathy.
I always look at things from other's perspective. If a girl would've mentioned any physical insecurity to me and whether guys found it unattractive, or if she's been rejected for it in the past, I definitely wouldn't have responded as such. I don't know. Everyone is different.

She sounds like a cunt. It shows a Buzzfeed ad there and she reminds me of Buzzfeed because it's been run by man-hating feminists and soyboys and has been since like 2013. That author definitely has "male guilt."
Although I will say that he was a Debbie Downer there, and speaking from personal experience, I know women hate that. Hell, I've done this same exact thing to women. So while I can understand her being turned off by a guy she doesn't see as confident (really; that's all women want from men, a big-ass f*cking ego; plus height and enough wealth for her to be satisfied with) and I can understand him killing the mood with his negativity (which I've done in the past, guilty as charged), she still came off like a raging PMS'er for immediately making his insecurity all about her and women; which is something sh*tty women do all the time. A man is depressed and sad because he thinks he'll die alone; she comes up and goes "iT's sExIsT tO sAy tHaT aBoUt wOmEn!" What a POS she is.
I'm short too; only three inches taller than him and it's my most extreme (and really, only major) insecurity. I feel like I'm not a full grown man, at times, because I had precocious puberty, so it feels like I literally never grew up. Never developed; like I have Peter Pan syndrome or something. And yes, COUNTLESS women have rejected me for my height. At least a thousand. When I used to do online dating, I'd try to never mention my height, but it'd usually always come up. And I'd avoid answering it, but they could tell I was short. So when I'd finally tell them, THEN I would get ghosted. I don't want to lie, but at the same time, I know it's a very unattractive physical trait as well, so I can never figure out what's the best thing to do. I later started putting my height in my bio, but then no one would write to me after that. Not that online dating isn't rigged against 90% of men, anyway.
You know why height makes some men so crazy? Because women DO reject men on height ALL THE F*CKING TIME! And you know what's worse? Being slightly short. In that sh*tty 5'8" to 5'11" range. Super-short guys, like 5'6" and under, have had their entire life to get used to being the shortest guy in the room. And guys over six feet aren't short at all, thus, have zero height related problems in dating. But being "short but almost tall enough to have 'passed'" is the most annoying thing ever! It's like, you're still not good enough and still get rejected all the time, just like super-short men, but you haven't had as much to endure as the guys 5'6" and under in order to "get used to it" yet. Most slightly-short guys probably used to be tall in grade school, and then stopped growing early, like I did. That's usually how it goes. Super-short guys were always the shortest and tall guys were usually always the tallest.
Anyway, that girl was a frigid-ass "female dog" but I do get how girls loathe insecurity in men with a passion, ironically despite being the ones to fuel almost any guy's insecurities; which is why I learned to stop caring about what most women think in the dating world. They don't ever once compliment men, and they fuel's men's insecurities and then reject them for those same issues they created in them. Dating sucks, but in full honesty, it's women who have contributed more to it sucking.
Anyway, I said I used to be exactly like this guy, and here's the proof. I'm willing to own up to it.
God I hated her after this.

Wow long post I still gotta finish reading lol. Done the same exact things to women? What? Turned off by their complaints? Or them being turned off by your complaints?
I don't think women get complimented or get much attention either. But online might be a different story lol. If that's the case, It's because of other men. They're the ones approaching and initiating and giving women the "power" and ruining things for other men. It's the system itself. But I'm not sure how true or exaggerated that is
I’m very short for a man, even shorter than that guy.
Sometimes people can be complete dickheads about it, I’ve had a lot of negative comments which, while I do have a thick skin, sometimes still manage to piss me off. It sucks but you’ve gotta ignore those people and carry on.
At the same time the girl in blue is still right. Why would you start whining about your insecurities and issues right off the bat? Why would a stranger care about your pain? What’s he looking for, a pity fuck or something? It just made him seem like a weirdo.
Despite having to deal with assholes and rejection from women who prefer taller men, there are women who don’t mind a guy’s height. These guys fuck up their chances with those women.
After re-reading your question though I can kind of understand what you’re saying here. I have had women speak about such things early on and I definitely didn’t respond the way this girl did. Instead I reassured them, paid them a compliment, made them feel at ease and then changed the subject to get onto something fun.
Women just don’t do that. I don’t actually think that it’s in their nature to be empathetic towards insecure men, at least not when it comes to dating. By nature they want to avoid them in favour of confident men. I think it’s a bit silly to be mad at women over the way they’re wired.
I’m not, and you can see from the way women react to this that I’m not. If you keep hoping to change women and to try to find one who’ll pity you, rather than just growing a thick skin and being confident instead, you’ll always be miserable and alone. I don’t know why you’d do that.
She’s not wrong, it’s a weird first thing to mention and that kind of attitude it pretty unattractive to a lot of people. It’s gives the impression of trying to get sympathy, and when she tells him of course she’d swipe for him and his height isn’t an issue he won’t listen to her and keeps making it an issue - the projecting thing is that he’s assuming she’s the same as a woman he has had a bad experience with, and grouping all women like that is kind of rude

You know what I think it is? You just don't like that members of your gender are criminal to these kind of things. Just like I don't like how men are usually the criminals and are involved in other forms of offenses. And so I can understand. We just have to admit that members of our gender do certain things, and not victim blame.
What? I would think the same if the roles were reversed and the women was doing what the man in this situation was. Why are you so pressed, are you the man in the screenshots? She can feel bad that he‘s insecure but a dating app isn’t the place to vent about it, and the fact that he is pretty much saying she is lying will also completely turn her off. It’s so much unnecessary complaining because she said she doesn’t mind but he kept turning it into a strange issue so no wonder she was a bit offended, he has a terrible attitude

Except she never once said that. He brought up how short he is and she immediately chewed his head off and played the sexism card like an angry feminist with a stick stuck up her ass. If a girl said something like, "I know I'm not as pretty as the other girls, thank you for swiping on me" and some dude said "Ugh, your insecurity is disgusting! You sound like a femcel. Get some professional help, loser," then everyone would be calling that guy an asshole. Yet, for some reason, no one ever wants to call out women for their sh*tty behavior. It's usually the sh*tty women defending the sh*tty behavior as well, because they damn well know they'd do the same actions.
@MCheetah She literally says that of course she swiped right on purpose, when she mentioned his height she said ‘okay’ because she quite clearly didn’t care, and then just after that she says that height doesn’t matter, so I don’t know what you’re looking at? He didn’t say thanks for swiping or say it politely, he immediately jumped in with ‘no way you swiped on purpose’ and then when she said she did and doesn’t care about height he continued. That IS annoying whether you are a man or a woman, and as I said if the roles were reversed in this situation I would still think the same.
Sorry. I missed that first one. But I didn't read her accepting his height as acceptable. Like "You are okay to me." I read it like "Okay? And? You're boring me!" I don't see her anywhere say "height doesn't matter," though. Her third message in, she came off rude, belligerent, and obnoxious. Why would a woman think that's okay to say to a guy who wasn't rude or mean to her? I don't think 99% of men would talk to a girl this way. I'm unsure how many women on Tinder talk to guys this way for no reason.

Many girls don't mind and actually fancy shorter guys. I like guys similar height to mine. But I can understand your insecurity. I know the sexism that exists against guys because of certain girls.

Even if she knows how hard is it for you, what can she do about it? Be with someone she is not attracted with? It would be temporary
Excluding your parents and close ones, nobody wants to listen to your problems. I am well aware of being how under confident feels and our first response to a compliment is basically "you serious?".
Make the following behavioural situation: whenever someone compliments you, just smile and say thank you. You maybe having some questions as to why they find a certain thing about you attractive however, when you are close with them, they will be more open to talking about your issues as compared to first time talking.
And seriously, don't base your research based on TV shows. They are entertainment, not real life. Naturally shirt height has disadvantages (curse your genes). Evolution doesn't give a shit.

That was just that one girl and I refuse to believe everyone will react the same. Everyone thinks differently. This post was just about her. Not women in general.
He sabotaged himself right in the beginning with low self confidence and his insecurities right away, no woman wants to hear that, she wasn’t wrong what she said but she could have been a little nice about it but she wasn’t that mean either. His height is still taller than most women even though a lot of them do prefer 6 foot and up it’s not always a dealbreaker

Yeah if it were reversed I would wonder why they are coming off so insecure right from the start and maybe talk to them a little but if they kept it up I would lose interest

Not really, no. If the girl had said something along the lines of “hey, I’m fat. I don't know if you swiped right on me on purpose” and if the man rejoinder the way the girl did in this scenario then I’d have said the same. The guy in this scenario seemed like he was very insecure about his height. Zac Efron is 5’8” he gets girls, doesn’t he? The guy either seemed like he was fishing for compliments or he was insecure. Relationships with insecure people never work out.
But in your scenario, the GUY is the insecure one. Hence, self depreciation really is unattractive. I wouldn’t want to date someone who needs constant validation.
Of course you wouldn't realize would you? Breast size shaming or female height shaming is not nearly as common as male height shaming. In fact, it isn't common at all LOL. As a result, women have no reason to have similar insecurities. Don't be in denial. Besides, If the genders were reversed, the guy would be the culprit either way!
... and this is coming from a skinny 5'5" guy who's boyish, charming looks are unmatched. I'm happy with my height and build and youthful appearance. But you might ask, why do I mind? Because I empathize with other men and the narratives and double standards they face. I'm ready to empathize with women as well, but what problems do they have that men don't? Lol
He's the issue. He should have just given his height and left it at that. Instead he wanted to talk about his issues with dating based on height to someone who didn't care about height on a dating site.

I don't really know what your question is, but that guy has a self depreciating mindset that no one man or woman finds attractive or wants to be around
Girl got a point. Guy started punishing and guilt tripping her because of his insecurities. All from a simple “hi”.

Yes and no. It's women's bad choices that are ultimately to blame for her woes. I mean you're right bad guys do exist. But women don't have to eat their clearly transparent lies up with a spoon.
