I wanna start by saying I’m not one of those entitled people like “girls should be all over me” or something, I’m just genuinely a little confused and want some input.
So I started talking to this girl a few months ago. We get along so well, like ridiculously well. We love literally all the same things: music, tv, movies, fashion, jokes, even philosophies. As dumb as it sounds we literally jinx each other like every other sentence because we’re so alike and compatible. We will talk all day and all night about literally everything until we go to bed. I’ll listen to her problems all night and try my best to give her advice. She says she trusts me a lot and I believe it, it gets pretty serious sometimes. I appreciate her so much and vice versa.
Whenever she describes her “type”, she literally describes me to a T. My height, hair, taste in media, humor, ethnicity, even the freckles on my face. Literally painting a picture of me. But even so, she doesn’t like me.
I’m no stranger to somebody not liking me, but I just don’t really understand why she specifically doesn’t. Like from what she describes I’m the exact fit for her, but I’m not good enough I guess? Is there something I’m missing? I have some feelings for her and I don’t quite understand why she doesn’t feel the same way. I’m not trying to sound entitled or narcissistic or something because I don’t have a great self image, but it just feels like the perfect match for both of us and I’m just not quite sure why it doesn’t click with her. Is there a certain factor that I’m missing that I don’t know of? I’m not too experienced with dating so I don’t know.
I’m content with staying friends with her because I enjoy her company so much, but I just kinda wish it could be something more.
