Girls, I’m playing in a coed club sports for college and having a hard time fitting in?

I joined a coed club lacrosse team for my college for something fun to do.

it’s not super competitive and the rules are more of a mix between men and womens so no hard contact.

Since the girls aren’t wearing any type of padding I feel awkward wearing a cup because I don’t want them to think I’m not as tough as them or I’m scared.

do you think girls care if I wear a cup?

I'm not sure but I think you should wear it. What are all other guys doing? I guess it is recommanded?
To be honest, I think no one would care about it

Some guys do wear it, but I wore it the first week and some of the girls jokes about me adjusting my cup during practice

Then it is up to you to wear it or not

Things like “need help adjusting down there” and “hope they don’t fall out”

Oh it is quite soft, I think you could handle it

And of course if it bothers you, tell them you don't find it funny and that you want them to stop

Well I don’t want them to think I’m not as tough as them since they aren’t wearing any pads

I'm not going to explain you but you have something girls don't have down there
I remember my boyfriend being hit by my mom accidentally once and he couldn't get up at all for a while

Your mom hit him in the balls? What happened

[laraWM]

lol we were playing tennis against my mom and dad. And she basically smashed the ball at him when they were both near the net. Trust me it looked like it hurts a lot based on his reaction

Did she know where it got him? Or did she just know the ball hit him near his stomach

I think no one realized at first lol. You know because she went back checking my father for the point and I was a lot behind my boyfriend.
Personally I didn't understand when I saw him going on his knees. I came closer and my mom did the same, we were like "what happened, are you ok?" But he said nothing, so I ask my mom what did she do? We were lost lol

Did she ever figure it out? Maybe she didn’t even know where it got him

In fact we though it was some dizzy spell so I kneel behind him and made him lie on my knees because he was curled like a ball. You know like they said in first aid techniques, to help breathing.
But then my mom giggled for a minute and when I asked she said something like "That has to hurt".
In fact, when he lied on my knees we saw he was holding his groin, so it became pretty obvious what happened to him

Do you think she was weirded out he acted like that?

[laraWM]

I don't know.
At first we were relieved it was not a dizzy spell if that's what you mean

I meant it must’ve been weird for your mom seeing him rub himself down there

Yes, I think she was giggling maybe because it was weird.
My father sat in the end and he was mad, he said 5 more minutes and we go.

Why do you think she was giggling?

[laraWM]

I guess you're right she felt weird. And as I said we were relieved because we freaked out a little at first.

I feel like your mom would be more concerned knowing it hit his sack. Did she anything after about it

[laraWM]

I'm sure she was but you know as girls we can't relate to
We asked my father what can be done because as girls we had no idea but he didn't know so we basically waited until he could get up and walk

Do you think that changed the way your mom thought of him?

[laraWM]

No, why? I know the last time she joked a little when she was near the net. And my dad jokes always about the day they win the match, because they almost never win lol

What did she say?

Something like, I promise I try to aim lower, or maybe you should back off

[Asker]

I wonder if she thinks differently of him now that she knows his man parts are weak

To be fair, she made a cake to apologize and then she bought him a new shirt for playing tennis.
And the next day she phoned me to ask if he was fine because she was worrying he was down for so long

That probably made her think that his man parts weren’t very tough

We don't know how it feels so every reaction is acceptable to us. I think my father considers my boyfriend's reaction excessive because he said a minute is usually enough to recover and we are making a big deal out of it but I don't know. I understand you feel the same?

I just think it’s more embarrassing when it happens in front of a mom because then she’s thinking about his penis

I'm sure she already knew he has one lol. Nothing to be embarrassed about

But she might not have known has weak his parts are

I mean everyone knows it hurts for guys but we don't have the same, so we can't know how it feels.
As I said we didn't understand from his reaction it was a simple groin hit. We freaked out because we though it could be a serious problem. Fortunately he was holding his groin the whole time, otherwise we could have never understood what happened

Did your mom comment on his balls being hurt or anything?

You mean when it happened? As I said she giggled and said that has to hurt.
Afterwards she made some references but not sure I can remember them all lol. But mostly to be sure he was fine.
