Why do women look other women up and down?

I was at a coffee shop today and whilst I was waiting in the queue a middle aged woman who was in front of me in the queue stared me up and down, from head to toe, was looking at my shoes. I was wearing a cop top and maxi skirt with trainers. She was blatantly looking me up and down and then focused on my legs and hips. I’m a normal weight and have a slender figure and it made me feel self conscious

Why do some women do this?

They compete for attention... they're sizing each other up. Men don't do it to each other unless there is a reason that we're going to need to fight.

Side note: Ever notice that guys that crave way too much attention are the ones more likely to start fights? I have.

I’ve never once done that. What women are you talking about when you say “women”? Look I don’t like being scanned up and down mostly because of the awful way it makes me feel when men do that to me!
