Why is it women would rather be alone then ask a guy out that she likes?

Some of it is society. We’re getting out of that men should be the chivalrous ones and it’s ok to be equals. I’ve asked men on dates. Been shot down and had had a few lovely dates that didn’t really blossom to a relationship but still good men. Also you have to remember women are programmed from a really young age that men are scary. So it can be very intimidating. If you want more girl to try to see wht your about maybe find ways to show that your safe and approachable

I would say that needs to stop, and it does, but tbh I only want the type of woman who can't be "programmed", and actually thinks for herself, and isn't afraid of men, or snakes, or tarantulas, or... well you get the idea. If I go into her house and see terrariums with "creepy crawlies", video game systems, scary movies and difficult games, collectable figures, and art supplies/drawing tech, I see it as a good sign.

@TheSpaceGnome I disagree. I think all women should have a healthy respect for what guys are CAPABLE of. Does that make all guys bad? No! But it keeps her out of compromising positions.

I think guys should just stop asking women out entirely and only date women that ask us out. I feel like in today's dating climate where most women are offended by damn near everything, it's the only way to avoid problems.

I just find it annoying that if you (as a guy) don’t measure up to one thing on their list they won’t date you.

I don't, I find it annoying when they are basic and don't have a long list. Or when they put "simple" on a dating site profile, or have no hobbies or personality.

I have a long list of things for what kind of woman I'll date/marry.

Mostly its hobby and interest stuff.
