Im not sure if this girl is giving me a hint or just a recommendation?

I asked this girl for movie recommendation, she read it and after like 2 or 3 minutes responded with "The Long Ride" ( a romantic movie ), things between us have been very lowkey and so far only some indirect flirting, should i maybe try and ask her out?

I don't think you can base a movie recommendation on whether a person likes you or not. I would look more towards the signs of being flirty and what those are rather than you asking a question to her and she giving you an answer. Just because it is a romantic movie doesn't mean anything.

She may love romantic movies and that is why. That might be her favourite movie ever and so she wants you to watch it. I really wouldn't read much into that. Rather, I would look for the classic signs of flirting and wanting to be around you.

As to whether you should ask her out, why not? What have you to lose. If she says no, so be it. If she says yes, then you have your shot to see if there is relationship material there or not. If you don't ask, you will never know.

I would advise suggesting something casual like a nice walk in a park and coffee or a casual lunch. Best of luck to you.
