Do women care if a guy is bald/ balding?

I'm 21 and I have started to notice that my hairline is receding. I've heard statistically that the vast majority of women in there 20s don't find bald guys attractive, it's only when they get into there 30s when a larger percentage of women start finding bald guys at least some what attractive. Is that true? Please comment your age and if you find bald/ balding men attractive. Also should I start using Rogaine and risk slight testosterone decline meaning the slight risk of sexual side effects or should I keep my hair as long as I can and shave is off when i have too?

When you are younger, it would make sense to go after guys with full heads of hair. Hair tends to denote youth and attractiveness in men and women alike. I don't see a bunch of men going after girls who are bald by choice or because of things like alopecia, so it's fair to say both genders think it matters. My brother is one that is bald by choice, and it never seemed to hinder his dating life, but how you look bald also matters. Some guys look fantastic, some do not. The way you're balding and how you handle your balding hair in it's styling is also a factor in attraction. In your 30's+, one might care less because they are around more guys at that age who are bald or balding.

Since you did not place your question under the "Dating" topic, I will give you my personal opinion based on looks only.

I personally don't care about the quantity of hair a person has on the head or elsewhere. If genes, DNA and other factors make it that you do have a receding hairline, so be it. It does not disturb me the least. I also would not care whether you are chubby or short. Those are the sort of outer appearance that don't matter to me.

Now, talking about the potential of dating, the looks impact even less to me because I place my priorities on 3 other more important aspects of a person. Those are

1. Character

2. Personality

3. Intellect

If those 3 assets are what I would be looking for if I was into dating, then you could have no hair on your head for all I care. The outer shell is ephemeral while the inner beauty stays a lifelong.

I've seen attractive bald men and unattractive bald men. I don't think it has to do with the fact that you're bald, it has to do with your looks. If a woman really finds you attractive she will like you regardless of you having hair or not.
If you're concerned about the sexual side effects then you should only shave it when you have to.

different people look better than others while being bald. Just because one guy looks good being bald, it does not mean you will look good being bald. Some guys can pull off the bald look but other guys can't. But its uncommon for a guy to be bald in his 20s. Guys don't typically start losing their hair until their early to mid 30s. By then many guys just shave their heads because they have a bald spot on the top of their heads.

If I'd be losing hair then I'd probably go full bald sooner. Some guys look good bald but it really depends on your face structure.

I do prefer guys with hair but if my guy would start losing his, I'd support any of his decisions.
