Girls, do men scare you away from events?

I'd really like to find a partner soon since I'm 28 and only getting older. But it's really hard to meet women. I go to dance classes where it's 10 guys and 2 girls, or a meetup with the same types of turnouts. I was just wondering if women can't enjoy dancing or social groups because men bother them too much?

Usually a dance class won't begin until they have even numbers. Go to singles events. Get a job at a college. Go to church, even if you're not churchy. Church girls are wilder and have more sex than others and they don't know where to meet non-churchy guys.
