Please help me understand this?

Update: So there was a girl who payed attention to me for two months (constantly staring at me) and now she seems to ignore me (she has been not paying that much attention to me (like not looking at me), I mean she was sick so maybe she is catching up with work (five days) but for one of the classes, there is a route to get out the class it’s like u go straight and then u turn and that route is not close to her desk, but she uses the route I go on to get out of the class. What are ur opinions of this behavior? Do u think she lost interest in me or is just busy catching up?

Second: what did you do during those two months? Did you return her gaze, making it visible that you have an interest in her?

I returned her gaze, smiled at her and started some conversations as well

Well... she doesn't care about you as you do her. That's the only thing we seemingly can be almost sure of.

She may still feel sick. She may be worried about her sickness. She may be mentally strained due to her having to catch up. These and other options are possible, but my first statement stands.

You can't make others feel as you feel. They are still a different person.

If you don't learn to be detached and cold, and interested only in objects (as opposed to "humans"), there will be uncountable days where you will feel as you have for these two.
I still believe, firmly, that it is better not to grow detached and impassive and interested only in objects, even at the cost of all the anxiety, disappointments, and ache it comes with.

Coming to the more concrete things, the here and now. If you keep gazing at her, smiling, trying to start conversations, while she is aloof towards you, after a while you will look silly (to say the best). So, don't go on doing that. And wait for her moves.

So it’s like: I’m into guys but I lowkey am down to try it with a girl lol, and at the beginning of the year she showed me off to her friends like saying: dats her and her friends said and I heard that she is so pretty, and her friend requested to follow me on Instagram few days ago

And for some reason she was afraid to talk to me but can talk perfectly fine with anyone else lol like at one football game she and I made eye contact (she was with her friends) and I was waiting for mine and as I was waiting I was looking at the game and I looked back and her friend said: talk to her and she said no so most likely she was nervous to talk to me lol

For example there is this girl who saw me, like at the beginning of the year when that girl who in question likes me, said “she is so pretty” like after that day this girl whom I NEVER talked to whenever she sees me, stares a bit, then when we make eye contact, she smiles at me like she is being too friendly with someone she never talked to, and whenever she sees me during lunch and we make eye contact she holds it for a few seconds before stopping, so maybe that girl likes me OR her friend does

I think your assessments are pretty spot on. Here's my suggestion: talk to these people. Instead of looking back at them, I recommend going to talk to them. Start a conversation.
