People are brainwashed by watching too many idealistic movies and tv shows. It teaches men that women are these one dimensional beings that are perfect and need a hero. In reality it's a big shock to most men when they find out that women have many sides to them that you don't see on television. She can be perfect to your face one minute, and then be your worse nightmare behind your back.

I think it's reasonable to pedestalize certain women for their beauty (Some are hotter), but a man is naive if he thinks she's perfect on the inside.

I guess women can be special to specific men like your wife or girlfriend can be special to someone. I do agree that men put women on a pedestal which I think they shouldn't do, not because women are bad but because of the expectations.

Men don't make women special. Women are, or rather were special. Most women are not anymore. They have tried very hard to NOT be special. They want to be treated as special without actually being special. Women in general have lost the right to be treated as special.
