Girls, A woman I know has twice come up to me on nights out and said "sorry x but I have to go. Why would she seek me out to tell me this?

Like I said before, we are not super close therefore I am not sure why she would say sorry for leaving. Both times she intentionally seeked me out to tell me, it wasn't like we were conversing and it came up. As it so happens I am attracted to her so am curious if she feels the same way.

i feel like she's trying to get your attention and that she's intrested in you. i dont know how you felt when she did this towards you, but i myself just cringed at what you wrote in your question about what she did. how the heck did she think that would get your attention? i mean, it did, but not in an attractive way. she needs to grow up.

I get that, but she didn't do it to anyone else. Also the second time she seemed to want me to convince her to stay, which I did and she stayed for a further 2 hours.
