Most of the people who are in relationships started out as friends in the beginning so people have a general thought that friendship will either turn into romance or there won’t be any friendship anymore. For most people there’s nothing in between.

Ask your friend of 3 years there if he wants to hook up.. 99% of the time if they are single its going to be a yes. Most male/female friendships have one side that would want more.

They can be friends, but only if there is no romantic or sexual attraction, and often there is. It seems it is usually women who don't grasp that fact.
