No, I didn't need to ask him because I always made sure I didn't run out. Usually a girl/woman has spares in her purse. Have a talk with her about it. Let her know this was uncomfortable for you, so it will be your last time buying them for her. She needs to be more responsible in that department.
Unless she is sick and can't go to the store herself, then it's ok that you get them for her.

Honestly, I find it stupid that thy gave you a weird look. I haven't asked my boyfriend for a favour like that yet, but I know if I ever need it I can count on him and I find nothing wrong or weird in that. I ask my dad to buy me pads when I'm literally too busy studying to go get more.
When i was younger and living at home Id asked my dad to buy me pads/tampons. Never had to ask a man to do this since I've been a adult tho since I'm always prepared
If your embarrassed see if you can order it on a grocery or walmart delivery app. If my parents are not around I plan on buying heavy groceries using delivery apps like rice or flour.

I don’t use tampons. I use pads, and yes, I’ve asked my dad and brother to buy me pads sometimes. They know what to do and what not to do when my mom and I are on our periods.
