I relate to this a lot from the girl's perspective. I tend to act like this when I have a crush on someone but I feel like I shouldn't. Maybe I feel like they're out of my league, maybe I think they could never like me back, maybe I'm worried about the consequences, maybe I'm in a situation where it would be inappropriate to have a romantic relationship with that person. So instead of being straightforward about my feelings, I try my best to ignore them and stay away from the person. At the very least, I'll try to make it seem like I flat out dislike the person. But there's always those small moments that catch me off guard where I can't help myself and my body reacts to them. Those moments I get shy and awkward. I don't know. You should really just ask her.
