Are there any nice girls left?

So, I hate to say it but it really looks like there are no nice girls left. All the girls around my age (18) are all obsessed with drinking, partying, and basically slutting it up. They all seem to be into bad boys, thugs, and douchebags and they could really care less about how hardworking, intelligent, or mature a guy is. I watched Say Anything with John Cussack the other day and one part really struck a chord with me. One of the female characters says to Cusack's character "there are plenty of guys out there, the world is full of guys, be a man." The thing is I don't think your average girl today could see a man if he was two feet in front of her and even if she could I don't think she'd want him. He'd be too boring, too reliable, too dependable, he'd remind her too much of her father. She'd rather go for the boyish, immature, frat boy because he's just so damn "exciting" than take an honest man.

ive never partied or went drinking. I drink a random mix once every year. I spend my time with boyfriend doing crafts, playing catch at the park, biking, trips to the supermarket/toy store/ mall to browse nad 50% of the time is to sleeping and laying in bed with me staring at the ceiling haha

i don't pick guys that party or is the fun and adventurous one. I like to settle and relax, I like a guy who can enjoy the simple things and never get sick of it :x most people get sick of it after a month...and I lol at it cause I've been doing it forever haha

ive picked the bad guy a few times...cause they were good with their words :( I like guys who can talk their way out/into things :( bad decision I guess ughh

Well I'm not quite your age, 17, but that's pretty close. Haha is it conceited of me to say that I'm living proof that there are nice girls left? Never been to a typical high school party where everyone is smashed. In fact, I only got tipsy for the first time last week because an opportunity presented itself where we could experiment with alcohol in a safe environment. I've never had a boyfriend either, never even been on a date or kissed a guy. I'm not naive enough to say that I'd know a "real" man from a "false" one because I am very young and know little of the world. However, I'd say that I have decent judge of character and choose to associate myself with people who are reliable and make me happy, regardless of other qualities; everyone has flaws. I'd like to say that I'm fairly level-headed and other people tend to compliment me on that as well. I try to be considerate of others and think before doing anything too rashly. That is all.

I think young people in general get caught up in wanting to do whatever they want. 18 is that age where you think you're an adult so you try to act like one and drink and have sex. Most guys in college want to have lots of sex. Those stupid young girls want attentention from guys so they give them what they want. I've always had the mindset that I know I'm a nice person and I can be a great girlfriend. I just never felt any of those losers deserved it. I want a gentleman that appreciates a good woman. I only go out to bars with my gfs and I don't do that often. There's so many other things to spend my time doing. Being hit on by gross boys is not one of them lol. Honestly I have fewer friends than the other girls I know that are into partying but I'm OK with that. I don't want to be those nasty girls. And I know the kind of man I want to be with wouldn't want a girl like that. I'm thinking of the bigger picture.

Haha its not me, my parents raised me right. My parents have been married 23 years and set a great example for me. I know there's guys out there that still have morals and a good head on their shoulders :)

I am convinced there are no good girls left. I thought I found the one (22) and she was all about me in the beginning and then just changed. She did just enough to make us work, was worried more about partying than spending time with me. She tried pressuring me into buying a house before we even moved into an apartment together. I have spoken with people since our break up and was told by quite a few people that she was a little tramp and no one wanted to tell me. Well, post break-up she is a one night stand queen. All set with wanting her back. She told me she loved me and it was clearly a straight lie. She is young, immature, shallow, fickle, heartless and cowardly. Best of luck to her.
