Girls, first date idea?

Anonymous

I've been talking to this girl since February 2023, we haven't met yet. We are going to meet and I just want to know if I went to her favourite dessert spot outside of the city and brought it back for her before our first date begins is that too much or a nice gesture? I would wake up earlier, take the subway down, get it, take the subway back and meet her. I'm just asking because nowadays I don't know if women even appreciate kind acts like that because as a guy I don't want to waste my time. I'm in my 30s now and my 20s flew by by going after the wrong girls which I regret. The same way women will be cautious by experiences from guys in her past, yes I feel exactly the same way about females today, it's not hate but I also have to worry about myself to. I've done nice gestures, given space, tried to be understanding with women throughout the years which has led no where. I feel like this is my last ditched attempt and if it doesn't work, I don't have the confidence and patience to keep trying and pursuing women. I try my best that women get to know me, where I stand, what my morals and principles are.

Overall, I have my own apartment, my own car, good job, I'm doing grad studies atm, have money saved up, take care of my health. I think I'm on the right path but finding a good loyal woman nowadays isn't easy. It's not like I'm searching for 10/10 sports illustrated model, amazing chef, do what I say type woman. I can compromise and be civil, understanding as well but I really question today's society especially when it comes to dating. I understand women have a life but if a guy is taking time out of his busy schedule where he works hard, has family stuff, his own friends that's where it can't be a one-sided affair where I have to be understanding and she's not cognizant of my life either, I think that's one of the biggest issues today.
