Do any of you find it annoying when waitresses/bartenders call you "hon" or "sweetie"? Do any of you girls that are waitresses/bartenders do that?

Call me crazy but it annoys the hell out of me and I have absolutely no clue why. I also notice it's usually the women that do it, not only to guys but also to other women. I know, I'm overreacting but it just bothers me.

I don't like being called that either. It makes me feel like they are trying to mother me.

Sometimes I feel like it's just them working hard for a tip. Like they feel they need to act like your best friend. I don't know, it just doesn't sit well with me but I don't take it out on them. If they're good at their job, I'll definitely tip accordingly.
