She and this guy are not dating but for all intents and purposes they may as well even and it’s been going on for over 6 months
However I met her not too long ago and we text all the time, unless her and the guy are hanging out, then it’s like I don’t exist. But as soon as he’s gone, she’s texting me constantly back and forth. She’s even gotten drunk and tried hanging out with me. On Thanksgiving she sent me a happy Thanksgiving message and then checked my location to point out how close I live to her. Then I find out she texts me more than anyone else in her phone except for the guy she’s known for 6+ months
Kinda weird but why would a girl be this way towards another guy? I know they’re not dating technically but to me it seems borderline cheating, especially considering she never mentioned him and she makes sure he’s not around when she texts. She’s also always the one who reaches out
I really only want to know why a girl would act this way, not looking for advice on what to do or people asking me what my intentions are. That’s my business, I just want straight answers

It’s hard to say without knowing the situation with this other guy though. If they’re not dating what are they? Friends? Fuck buddies? Is he her boyfriend but she’s lying and pretending it’s not as serious as it is because she’s interested in you?
Pretty sure it’s a situationship. Which is essentially a boyfriend but without a label
Ok. Either she’s thinking you might be her next boyfriend and she’s looking to leave him for you because she’s tired of the “situationship”.
It’s either that or you’re plan B guy, and when she feels like she can have you if she wants you she’ll give him an ultimatum where he has to be official with her or she leaves him. If he says she she stays with him, if he says no she tells you she dumped him for you.
