A group of ladies asked me to buy them drinks, is that normal?

I was at a bar and it was a group of 3 ladies and one guy, one of the ladies came up to me and asked me to buy her and her friends some rounds, said they were good for it.

No that isn't normal at all. I never will ask someone to buy me a drink. I get offered from time to time but never ask someone. I have my own money. I also bartend and can honestly say that I have never seen this happen during any of my shifts in the three years I have been doing it. They have a lot of nerve (in my opinion) to ask for drinks especially considering it is multiple drinks. That is unheard of to me and pretty classless to essentially beg for drinks.

Yes if they know you’d be desperate enough to do it. But to the defense of girls, men buy drinks for girls all of the time. But going out of their way to ask you to buy the drink is very bold.

It's only normal when one is rude enough to ask, so for me, it would not be normal.

It was very kind of you, but don't allow others to make you feel like you must do that. Many have an entitled attitude; it's not pleasant.

I won't. I did it to be nice, and I felt sorry for the ladies because I assumed the guy they were with was either unable or unwilling to buy em drinks. Also, she wasn't bad to look at.
