We have dated before when we were 13 and have known each other since we were 6. She is def super cute and is so funny. I actually have admitted my feelings to her about a week ago when she came over and we cuddled. She has feelings for me and wants to wait until I am ready.

We are both in our last year of high school and are going to the same university next year, (we had no idea we were going to the same one until last week) and we are going to be living in the dorms but with our own gender roommate.

Honestly if you have both expressed this mutual feeling instead of straight up asking her to be your girlfriend try asking her on a date and see how it goes first, test it out a bit with 2 or 3 dates and if you both really enjoyed it then definitely go for it and if it wasn't really what you guys expected then it wouldn't be awkward and there'd be no loss of friendship. But I have high hopes for you guys so definitely try a few dates before anything serious and I wish you the best of luck 😊

Word of advice though...
You're reaching that where your needs and wants tend to shift a lot.
For a lot of people, what they like and need in their partner when younger is totally different than when they hit their 20s.

So be prepared for a relationship that might end up crashing when u're in ur 20s or that the both of u (or one of u) feel "forced" to stay in that relationship because his/her interest has changed.
Otherwise I'd say, just wait till u guys go above 20s.
Maybe u'll be together if you're REALLY in love with each other, or maybe u'll end up finding totally different person as more interesting.

I have to confess I am a bit confused here. You told her you have feelings for her, and she said the same. She clearly wants a relationship with you, I don't get what you are so scared of.

Let me tell you something. If you are scared to ruin the friendship because of the relationship potentially going wrong? More friendships go awry because one of both parties DON'T make the move. Besides, you guys have already dated and that bond is still there.

Even if you date and DO break up again, I suspect you both care for one another too much to ever let the breakup ruin your friendship!

Tell her you wanna make it official when you graduate highschool, be a couple in university and promise to marry after graduating, pick the same classes, start a business together after graduating uni and get married.

Thats the best possible path to take if you two are compatible and love eachother.
