I like a girl who works in a retail store and I’ve spoken to her before when I first met her and I introduced myself and she told me what her name was too, which was a few weeks ago and then saw her today which was nice,

Whenever I go in there and she’s there, every other girl who works there will come up to me and ask me if I’m okay and need help, except her and then today I was there for a while and I don’t know if she purposely separated her self from everyone else so I would go over and talk to her but I did and she seemed really happy too see me and we had a bit of a chat while she was working, I understand she was working so she had to keeping moving but as I said with every other girl coming up to me and stopping what they are doing just too stand and chat she just kept moving around while we were chatting and then just left.

So I don’t know if she’s just nervous and likes me or what but I just want to ask her number so I can buy her a drink and talk to her when she’s not working? Thoughts?

First thought is, have you complimented her appearence yet? or did you just keep with general chit chat.

I'd suggest, find her in the store again smile and say something like "I hope you don't mind, but I'm not her to shop I just wanted to come see you". If she seems happy about this prospect, then spend some time with her and before it feels awkward make sure you have somewhere to be, act somewhat unhappy you have to go and ask her if you might exchange numbers and arrange another catch up later.

This strategy is the best because there's lots of oporunitys for her to politely decline if she's just being a good retail clerk helping a customer.

You're on the right track, but no I wouldn't ask for her number. I'd ask for her phone then enter my name and number and say " No pressure, if you would like to go out for a coffee or something, there's my number.

I want the guy I like to ask me for mine, please just ask her for her number. She is probably overthinking, nervous and wants to know where you stand. If you guys feel that connection, then do it.
