Girls/Gals/Women, do you hug guys near or at your age without asking or making extended arms first, at least rarely, when hugging them the first time?

I never ever hug guys/boy/men near or at my age because I simply don't have the urge to hug people without a good reason.

I like to keep my distance from people I don't know or that are not familiar to me. I have my reasons to really hug strangers. Furthermore, you never know where they were before and what they came in contact with.

I don't really see why people have to hug each other. The only people I am really comfortable hugging would me my family members but I don't do that often since I live away from home.

I don't initiate hugs to just anyone, regardless of their gender. I believe guys should be able to consent, just like women do.

I would hug if we are relatives, dating, or have been friends for some time.

But do you either ask or extend your arm before hugging when hugging a guy near or at your age, when hugging him for the first time, to allow him to either approve or reject? I mean, just because you have been hanging out with that guy for a while, it doesn’t mean that he will be ok with you hugging him.

Never did that and never initiated a hug, ever. They always did, though. 😂

But do you always either ask or extend your arm without moving forward, to give them room to accept it or reject it, or do you just go in and hug without either asking or extending the arm first, when hugging the individual for the first time?
