Male coworkers wife insists on being with us whilst we study?

I am in an odd situation. My male coworker has a wife who I suspect is jealous of me interacting with her husband.

My coworker and I are professional and I am not into him and he’s not into me. I met his wife once at a work event and she seemed jealous.

Now we are starting to study together for an up a coming exam we both have (which it has been recommended to have a study partner/group). It will take place mostly via video call, occasionally face to face.

On the first call with my coworker, his wife announced that she will always be present whilst we study. This was pretty awkward. Now I know that every time we are studying she will be there in the background.

Do you guys think this is ridiculous?

Are you sure you aren’t even remotely romantically interested? Because youve mentioned this coworker on and off, even meeting his wife at the work event. I don’t show half as much care for men I’m not interested in, and wouldn’t care either if their wife hung around. In any case, j don’t think this is about jealousy and just insecure. If he or any other man have done her wrong in the past, then she’s got some trauma to work through that she hasn’t.

Just ignore it. If she's not preventing you from studying then that's between his wife and him.
